BEAUTIFUL BOTTLES EVERYWHERE

I  was at a show about a month ago and I was showcasing some beautiful gems from Haystack.  I had brought with me one of my favorites lavender bottles from late  1800's early 1900's.   The magnetite in the glass changes the clear glass to rich colors of purple and lavender when exposed to sun over the years.  ..... I digress..... at the show I met a unique new friend who dives, and he was kind enough to send me some pictures of his beautiful bottle collection that he has recovered from dives ..... although these bottles were not exposed to sunshine deep at the bottom of the waters... they are so truly beautiful and check out the seashells that have grown inside of one!!

Also just wanted to give  a little shout out and let everyone know that we have lots of new inventory in for fall and  a wonderful halloween display, not as fabulous as our friend at "the bountiful home"  however, if  we get pumpkin kissed by our friend Todd.... we will be awfully lucky and I will shout it from the top of the haystack.

Also wanted to let you know that we will be posting new inventory to our web sight under the "shop" section of the web sight... so stay tuned for that is coming next.

Well we did it, our first event on the road, well actually we went to George Town and joined the SDDA for a wonderful Saturday ( a little chilly)  of friendly festivities, and showcasing Haystacks Beautiful Wares.  I was so happy to be invited to such a wonderful show where I met lots of great people and some of them got to take home some special treasures.

Sadly we said goodbye to our two good friends,  Sir Otter Wotter, and Duke the Dillo.  See photos ;)
I do know they will be at  a special viewing coming up at Velocity by Lake Union. Stay tuned

WONDERFUL SUNNY DAY AT STORE

I was at the store today and what a wonderful day it  was.  Got lots done, sent photos to customers, cleaned the booths, sold some lovely antiques, met some new people and a wonderful couple that have been antique dealers for  30 years.  By the time they left the store I had a short list of places to go, stores to visit and delightful things to look up.  I thoroughly enjoyed your visit John and Marcie and look forward to seeing you at one of your shows in the future. Thanks for visiting Haystack.  I also had a wonderful couple that started the Antique Book of Maps, which started in 1974, their son Adam handles the company these days. Adam is doing a great job, and these Maps are about to go to print, so make sure you get on them if you can.  HAYSTACK SURE WILL.
